What can be used for hot tub aromatherapy?

A number of beautiful scents are available for hot tub aromatherapy. When using it within your hot tub, you need to ensure that all essential oils are spa safe. Using essential oils that aren’t safe could damage your hot tub or cause skin irritation for your guests.

Each spa aromatherapy product’s packaging will have its own instructions for adding to the spa. Our aromatherapy products are spa crystals that have been soaked in essential oils to give them maximum scent. How to use hot tub aromatherapy crystals

Before you get into the hot tub

The first step for a relaxing hot tub session is to ensure you have everything you need before getting into the spa. This may include some slip-on shoes, a towel, some water and your spa-safe aromatherapy crystals. You might find it relaxing to bring a book with you to the hot tub or even have some gentle music playing. It’s also a good idea to let someone know what you’re doing, so they can check on you.

When adding the spa crystals, you will need to check the instructions for adding them. These will tell you how long it takes for the crystals to dissolve in the spa water. After this time, you can hop in and unwind.

Using the hot tub

Set the spa to a nice temperature that will help you to relax – this should not exceed 40°C. The spa temperature can help to relieve muscle aches, and you can use the jets to help provide you with a targeted massage.

While sitting in the hot tub, spend some time relaxing and try to take your mind off any troubles. Some people find it useful to listen to nature or their own music to reduce stress. You can do whatever helps you to relax while also enjoying the beautiful scent of your aromatherapy crystals soaked in essential oils.

Be sure to monitor your hot tub use, and don’t spend too long soaking in the spa.

After using the hot tub

You can leave the hot tub anytime when you feel totally relaxed. You may wish to sit on the side of the hot tub for a bit while drying off. Upon leaving the spa, you will still be able to enjoy the luxury scents from your aromatherapy products; the scent will be accentuated by the water’s temperature and will have soaked into your skin.

After enjoying your aromatherapy hot tub experience, you should take it slow and continue relaxing. It’s a good idea to enjoy aromatherapy after a long day and before going to bed so that you can get a great night’s sleep.
