2019 Master Spas Warranty Program
This warranty covers our Signature Elite Models, Legend Models and Escape Models
Spa Structure – 5 Years
Master Spas Inc warrants to the original retail purchaser the structural integrity of the spa against water loss from the spa due to defects in material or workmanship, in the spa structure for a period of five (5) years from the date of installation. (repair or replace the spa shell or any part of the structure)
Spa Equipment – 2 Years
Master Spas Inc warrants to the original retail purchaser the spa side equipment pack (pumps, heater, control system, keypad) should a component fail or malfunction due to defects in material or workmanship for a period of 2 years (2) years from the date of installation. Master Spas Inc. will either repair or replace the defective component including replacement parts and onsite to labour install them.
Spa Plumbing – 2 Years
Master Spas Inc warrants to the original retail purchaser for a period two (2) years from the date of installation that the plumbing or spa will not leak due to defects in materials or workmanship. Master Spas Inc will provide replacement parts and onsite labour to repair or replace any defective components. Jet internals is warranted against malfunctions due to defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of installation.
Spa Shell Surface – 5 Years
Master Spas Inc warrants to the original retail purchaser that the acrylic finish will not blister, crack or delaminate for a period of five (5) years from the date of installation as a result of defects in material or workmanship. Master Spas will either repair or replace the defective shell, including onsite labour to repair or replace the defective shell.
Audio Equipment – 1 Year
Master Spas Inc warrants to the original retail purchaser the stereo components against malfunctions due to defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year. This limited warranty on all audio systems covers onsite labour for a period of one (1) year from the original date of installation. After one year (1) the purchaser is solely responsible for any labour costs associated with the repair or replacement of a defective audio component. Master Spas Inc shall not be responsible for any damages or losses to any accessories, including but not limited to iPods or similar systems, caused by a defect or malfunction of any component.
Skirting – Lifetime
Master Spas Inc warrants to the original purchaser that the DuraMaster Polymer skirting will not crack or rip for the life of the spa. Bowing that can occur under some conditions is considered normal and not covered by this limited warranty. If the skirting fails due to defects in materials or workmanship, Master Spas Inc will either repair or replace the defective skirting.
LED Lighting System
Master Spas Inc warrants to the original purchaser for a period of one (1) year from the date of installation that the factory-installed LED light system will not malfunction due to defects in material or workmanship. If the LED system or any component thereof malfunctions, Master Spas Inc will either repair or replace the defective components. This limited warranty on LED systems covers the onsite labour for a period of one (1) year from the date of installation. After one (1) year the purchaser is solely responsible for any labour costs associated with the repair or replacement of a defective component.
Master Spas Inc warrants to the original retail purchaser that the factory-installed Ozonators will not malfunction due to defects in the Ozonator for a period of two (2) years from the date of installation. If the Ozonators malfunction due to a defect in material or workmanship, Master Spas Inc will either repair or replace the defective components including parts and onsite labour.
Master Spas Inc warrants to the original retail purchaser that the factory-installed Mast3rPur system will not malfunction due to defects in the unit for the period of one (1) year for the date of installation. If the Mast3rPur system malfunctions due to a defect in materials or workmanship, Master Spas Inc will either repair or replace the defective components including parts and onsite labour.
This limited warranty is enforceable only by the original retail purchaser. Spa covers and spa pillows are specifically excluded from this limited warranty. All warranties are void if the spa is placed in commercial service. In the event, it is necessary to remove the spa from the residential premises to repair or replace any warrantable item, any and all cost of spa removal and including but not limited to removal of the original spa and transportation of the replacement spa, damages to landscaping, decking, fencing or other structural alteration or any other cost related to obtaining access to the spa are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
This limited warranty does not apply to malfunctions if the spa has been subject to misuse, alteration, or attempted alteration, repairs or attempted repairs by a non-approved service centre or if a failure or malfunction is due to improper water chemistry, improper maintenance, an act of God, weather conditions or other damage from causes beyond the control of Master Spas Inc. Misuse or abuse shall mean the operation of the spa other than in conformity with the Master Spas Inc owners manual. Such Misuse and abuse shall include but not be limited to the following – Damage to the spa surface and components caused by leaving the spa uncovered or due to covering the spa with a plastic film of any kind – Damage to the spa surface and components caused by contact with unapproved cleaners or solvents – Damage caused by the operation of the spa at water temperature outside the range of 34F – 104F – Freeze damage – Damage caused by unapproved sanitisers such as calcium hypochlorite, sodium hypochlorite, Tri-Chlor type chlorines or any sanitizing chemical that may remain undissolved on the spa surface. – Damages or malfunction due to a dirty, clogged, calcified filters or non-use of an unapproved filter cartridge – Damages or malfunction caused by failure to provide even support for the spa to sit on. Master Spas Inc reserves the right to void the equipment warranty should any damages occur to the system from the use of filters other than those approved by Master Spas Inc. Master Spas Inc in its sole discretion shall determine if any damage to equipment is the result of the use of an unapproved filter.
Warranty Claim Procedure
All warranty claims must be initiated by reporting to Grizzly Bear Hot Tubs technical department by telephone on 01382 530220 or by email to [email protected]
Grizzly Bear Hot Tubs waiver service travel fees within the first 12 months of ownership. Thereafter a £50.00+vat service call-out charge will be applied to cover travel costs. The service call-out charge is payable prior to a callout. If it is determined that the malfunction is not covered by the limited warranty, the cost of the service call is solely the responsibility of the purchaser. If it’s determined that the malfunction or defect is covered under the warranty, Master Spas Inc will through Grizzly Bear Hot Tubs repair or replace the covered item. Grizzly Bear Hot Tubs reserve the right to collect from the retail purchaser travel expenses if the spa is not possible for repair or does not have sufficient access to carry out a repair.
Master Spas Inc neither assumes nor do we authorise any other person to assume for us, any other liability in connection with the sale of spas manufactured by Master Spas Inc. This limited warranty shall be the exclusive remedy available to a purchaser and Master Spas Inc. Shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages resulting in misuse of the spa or caused by any defect, failure or malfunction of the spa, whether a claim is based upon warranty, contract, negligence or otherwise. To the extent permitted by applicable law, this limited warranty specifically excludes any and all implied warranties of merchantability and/or fitness for a particular purpose, otherwise, all implied warranties are limited in duration to two (2) years from the original date of retail purchase. There are no other warranties, either expressed or implied, of any kind or nature which extend beyond the description on the face hereof
Watkins Manufacturing Warranty Program
This warranty applies to our Signature XL, Signature 2, 3, Breeze, Surf, Spray, Escape Compact, Classic and Family models
Spa Structure – 5 Years
Watkins warrants the spa structure, which is defined as any rotationally moulded, polyethene internal support structures connecting the unibody shell, floor and external coping for 5 years. This limited structural warranty specifically excludes any part of the spa that is not rotationally moulded as part of the unibody shell such as the synthetic wood skirting, jets, doors, covers etc.
Shell/Surface Warranty – 5 Years
Watkins warrants the shell of the spa to be free from defects in materials and workmanship resulting in water loss for five years. Any additional costs including shipping, delivery, set up, installation and/or disposal charges will be the sole responsibility of the spa owner.
Plumbing Warranty – 2 Years
Watkins warrants the factory-installed plumbing components of the spa to be free from defects in manufacturing and workmanship resulting in leaks for two years. This warranty specifically covers leaks from jet fittings, internal plumbing, internal glue joints and hoses.
Spa Components – 2 Years
Watkins warrants the electrical and mechanical components including the pump, heater, LED lighting and control system against defects in material and workmanship for two years. Filter cartridges, spa cover locks and fuses are not included in this warranty but are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship at the time of delivery. Spa covers and other spa accessories are warranted to be free from defects at the time of delivery and are specifically excluded from this warranty.
Extent of Warranty
This warranty extends only to the original consumer of the spa when purchased and installed within the country of purchase or, in case of spas purchased in the EU when originally installed within the EU. This warranty begins on the installation date but in no event later than one year from the date of purchase.
To make a claim under this warranty contact Grizzly Bear Hot Tubs technical department on 01382 530220 as soon as possible. 2-year onsite labour coverage is included with no travel fees being charged in the first 12 months. A £50+vat call out charge will be applied after the 12 month period has expired to cover travel costs. Grizzly Bear Hot Tubs will repair any defects covered by this warranty and you will not be charged for parts or onsite labour during this warranty period.
Except as described above, this warranty does not cover defects or damage due to normal wear and tear, improper installation, alteration without Watkins prior consent, accident, acts of God, misuse or abuse, commercial or industrial use, use of an accessory not approved by Watkins, failure to follow Watkins owners manual or repairs made by anyone other than Grizzly Bear Hot Tubs. Watkins nor Grizzly Bear Hot Tubs will be responsible for any costs incurred for the hire of cranes, lifting devices or any works provided to allow with the creating of adequate access for the removal, repair or replacement of any hot tub during and after the warranty period. The warranty will not cover any part of the spa unless spa chemicals or filters are purchased from Grizzly Bear Hot Tubs or any imitation parts are approved in writing by either Grizzly Bear Hot Tubs or Watkins Manufacturing. This warranty does not cover component failure through misuse or neglect, such cases are decided upon at Grizzly Bear Hot Tubs discretion. Damage caused by improper water chemistry and failure to keep the spa clean could potentially invalidate the warranty coverage. Cosmetic blemishes, normal wear and tear and failure caused by acts of God are not covered under this warranty.
