Air source heat pumps have already proved to be beneficial for heating homes, commercial spaces or swimming pools and now they have become increasingly popular for hot tubs and swim spas.

The benefits of the Clim8zone Mini

Unlike most heat pumps on the market the Balboa Clim8zone both heats and cools the water.

The Clim8zone works is in low ambient temperatures of down to -5 degrees C and is very quiet at less than 50dBA

By using a variable speed compressor with smart algorithm the Clim8zone features a typical energy efficiency (COP) of 5 – 10 times that of a traditional spa heater resulting in less energy usage to keep the water hot providing big savings.

The Clim8zone Mini can be fully integrated with Master Spas models that feature a circulation pump.

How does a heat pump work?

Heat pumps heat up the water by extracting natural heat from the outside air. The heat pump fan draws in the air and directs it over the evaporator coil which contains an advanced liquid refrigerant. The air turns into a gas which is then compressed to increase the heat. This hot gas passes through the heat exchanger which transfers the heat from the hot gas to water and heats it up.
